This was essential alongside the national effort to protect the NHS and save lives. With the lockdown now eased, our team welcome the return to work and being able to serve our patients again.
The cross-infection control procedures we uphold in dental practice are amongst those that are the strictest in the health care profession. Most of the public advise that is given now we have practiced rigorously day in and day out. We take pride in ensuring that we operate a safe and well led environment.
Our return to dental services will be staged into 3 phases.
As of 15th June we have been advised to assess and manage dental emergencies that cannot be helped by advice on the phone. We will be prioritising patients in pain that require urgent treatment. Our remote triage service has been operating throughout the lock down period and will continue to do so. For patients who have already received advice from this service, we will be contacting you over the next few days to arrange an appointment where treatment in practice is possible.
Due to the current guidance from NHS England there may be limitations to our scope of practice in this phase and we may need to refer you to the local Urgent Dental Care Centre where the appropriate treatment can be provided.
During this phase, we will be able to increase the type of treatments we are able to offer.
We hope to be able to offer our full range of services and the progress to providing routine dental care. The commencement of Phase 2 and 3 will be governed by many factors such as the availability of PPE and the national threat level. We have a long list of patient appointments that have been postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those patients who are ‘mid-treatment’ will be prioritised and will have their appointments scheduled when it is safe to do so in line with our phased opening.
Our dentists will continue to be available to provide urgent advice over the phone, so that we can triage and manage your dental concerns.
We are pleased to be able to offer complimentary video consultations for a limited time. This includes a 30 minute video consultation where your dentist will be able to listen to your concerns, assess your oral health, discuss treatment options and provide you with a digital report to help you make a choice that is right for you. We can then schedule you in to complete the examination process and start any treatment. To book please visit www.qualitydentalgroup.co.uk.
As we open our doors, you will notice there will be some changes in the way we operate.
Please refer to the attached leaflet which describes what you can expect at your next visit.
We look forward to seeing you again and if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Stay safe and keep well.
