I would recommend they share the policy documents via email upon registration to avoid this in the future. It's also useful to know that you can cancel up to 24hrs in advance by emailing the practice or leaving a message - you don't need to wait until they open on a Monday morning.Jade has promised that there will be training on the use of safety goggles.Thanks so much - all this effort, and such a positive response, is very much appreciated.Initial review:Sadly, I'm not impressed by this dentist. Initially I had really excellent support from Jade on the front desk, and I was feeling good about signing up as a patient, despite being forced to go private because of the lack of NHS options.The dentist who treated me identified two cavities which hadn't been giving me any trouble. Treatment for the first one has left me with new pain and continual discomfort. One other red flag was that they didn't have any protective goggles when I was receiving treatment and they asked me to wear my own sunglasses.I had to miss the appointment for the second filling due to a vomiting bug, but was still charged the full price. I can understand if this is the policy, but I can find no evidence of it in any of the paperwork they emailed me, or on the online portal. I asked them to call me back to explain the policy and to provide evidence that this had been shared with me, specifically asking for Jade since she had been so helpful the first time around. “It would have been a 5 star it I had to really argue my point on my last visit. Let...” me explain, I’ve had a few treatments at Kinsgend over the years and all has been well. It’s not the cheapest dental center but I’ve always believed that you do get what you pay for.I had to have an extraction on a molar tooth after biting on a popcorn kernel and a massive chunk of the tooth broke away. Unfortunately there was no way of saving it. I had the the tooth extracted and the process went seemingly well until the following day. I’m the extraction process the surgeon had damaged the r tooth next to it with the drilling/cutting machine which left the tooth open and very painful.When I went back to the dentist to let them know they were very reluctant to take any responsibility and said that I was in pain because the tooth was seriously decayed. My argument was that whether the tooth was decayed or not I had suffered zero pain before the surgery (even with the chunk taken out of my originally extracted tooth) and I could feel with my tongue that a chunk of tooth had been ground away.After a lengthy heated debate with one of the directors another lady director came in to see what was going on and heard me out. The lady kindly assessed the situation and they decide to give me a filling (free of charge) which has helped tremendously. Tried to book hygienist but left as no acceptable times available. Five minutes after leaving, receptionist informed me I had to pay for the session (the 5 minutes I understood was a follow up to the check up). It felt as if they were trying to maximise their income.”

I really appreciate being able to fill out my personal form from my phone before my appointment, this makes the whole experience so much smoother, I wasn’t a fan of the old system where you would be handed a iPad/tablet to fill out your details, I found it confusing and stressful. Lastly being notified and reminded of an upcoming appointment via email multiple times well in advance of my appointment is extremely helpful. Over all my experience was as good as I could hope for, thank you to all the staff who make it a good experience, especially as I’m afraid of the dentist! But on my last visit whilst waiting to be seen by the dentist I heard them talking nastily about other members of staff but in particular another one of the receptionists when she left the reception station which I found very unprofessional and very unkind. Another thing I witnessed was a dental nurse leaving the room with some of the dentists tools and she was cleaning under her nails with it. Now I know this isn’t her...” fault however, I had an appointment booked last week to see a hygienist and due to personal circumstances, I cancelled the appointment on the day although I was not notified that there will be a £20 cancellation fee added on top of my bill which is silly because if I had been notified of this over the phone, I would’ve tried my best to attend to the appointment.I had asked for this to be cancelled but she informed me that the £20 cancellation fee is shown on the website and therefore, would not cancel the fee but why was I notified about this over the phone?I’ve never been in this situation at this place and I’m sorry to say but I am unsatisfied with the outcome.I’d still recommend for those who are looking for a new place to get check ups and other procedures at this place however, be aware of these little fees applied with no acknowledgment whatsoever.”
