Orthodontics – Teeth Straightening Solutions

Orthodontics is a versatile dental speciality that contributes to the function and appearance of your smile, bite and TMJ, as well as your overall dental health. Our friendly and experienced team of orthodontic specialists uses state-of-the-art techniques to provide all patients with beautiful, balanced, and healthy smiles.

Orthodontic solutions can be applied on their own, or together with cosmetic or maxillofacial treatment. Below are some of the orthodontic procedures available at Quality Dental Care.

  • Fixed braces: Both traditional metal and modern ceramic types are available to help children and adults retrain their smiles. Fixed braces are gently bonded to your teeth so that micro-fine wires can guide them into an ideal position.
  • Removable dental appliances: These include innovative new ‘invisible’ braces that straighten your teeth without anyone realising you’re having orthodontic work done! One of our most popular removable treatments is Invisalign, which corrects your smile using comfortable and discreet oral appliances.

By correctly aligning your bite, orthodontic treatment can also relieve the recurrent headaches and chronic facial and neck pain caused by temporomandibular disorder, or TMD.

Whatever orthodontic treatment you require, we will deliver a comfortable service and dedicated aftercare every step of the way. Call your nearest Quality Dental Care practice for a free consultation today.

Six Month Smiles

Six Month Smiles is a fixed clear brace system designed to straighten your teeth in about 6 months.

Inman Aligner

Inman Aligners are a revolutionary way to straighten your front teeth in as little as 6 to 16 weeks!

Fixed Appliance

A bracket is fitted to each tooth.
A wire is then connected to each bracket.
Coloured bands secure the wire to the brackets.
Many different band colours are available.
Slowly, over several months, the wire is shortened …
… pulling the teeth gently into line.

Appliance Cleaning

Good oral hygiene is essential when wearing an orthodontic appliance.
Poor plaque control around the brackets …
… can lead to decay and permanent damage to tooth surfaces.
Daily use of interdental brushes in and around the appliance …
… will remove plaque from areas not normally accessible by regular toothbrushing.
Leave your teeth not just straight but looking good.

Bonded Wire Retainer

Teeth can move back after orthodontic treatment.
A bonded wire retainer will hold them in place permanently.
A wire is bonded to the back of the front lower or upper teeth.
The bonding material is cured with a bright light.

Lingual Brackets

Lingual Brackets can be made to fit each tooth individually.
They can also be made of gold to prevent a metallic taste in the mouth.
As they are fitted to the inside of the teeth, they are less visible.
