I’m missing a tooth! What are my options?

Are you missing a tooth because of an accident, cracking or infection? Do you ever try to hide your smile when out in public? Maybe your missing tooth has driven you off social media as you no longer have your desired smile. You probably have a hard time biting and chewing your favourite foods too!

Losing a tooth can be a very traumatic experience and can make you feel insecure and lose confidence. When you lose a tooth, the surrounding teeth have to adapt to the increased stress and pressure. This can make your teeth prone to cracking, cavities and infection.

The good news is that you don’t have to just accept your missing tooth and get on with life miserably. Quality Dental Group is here to help make you feel good again. You deserve to feel proud about smiling and living your best life, and our team will help you get there. There are many options to replace a missing tooth such as dentures, bridges and dental implants.

At Quality Dental Group, we have years of experience in restorative dentistry and strive to make our patients feel good with confident and gorgeous smiles. We recommend dental implants as a solution for missing teeth as they are designed to look, feel and function exactly like natural teeth. Once dental implants are in place, they will restore your smile and self-esteem, and you no longer have to be afraid about not being your bubbly self again.

What are dental implants?

A dental implant is a sophisticated tooth replacement that mimics the whole tooth structure. It is regarded as the safest and most reliable solution to restore missing teeth. The dental implant is fused to your jawbone with great stability and stands on its own without interfering with the teeth that are nearby.

Dental implants consist of a titanium screw, an abutment and a dental crown. The process to replace your gap will take approximately three to six months. With advances in technology, we can now even replace a full set of teeth in one day.

Quality Dental Group , uses only the highest quality products to ensure that your implants stand the test of time. We have a team of highly skilled implant surgeons who are dedicated to providing an experience that will leave you feeling good and confident again.

How will I know that I’m suitable for a Dental Implant?

If you are considering replacing your tooth with a dental implant we recommend a consultation with an implant dentist. It’s important that you visit a clinician who has knowledge of the treatments available to replace a missing tooth so that you can receive treatment that’s best suited to you in a comfortable environment.

Dental implants are an option if you suffer from the following:

  • You have a missing tooth or teeth
  • You have loose dentures
  • Your tooth needs to be extracted due to an infection

Wells on Wheels – Quality Dental Innovates to Help Vulnerable Communities

At Quality Dental Group, our mission is to make people feel good. From our staff and patients, to the communities that we serve and society at large. Our burning desire to take feel-good positive actions to communities has inspired us to partner with Wells on Wheels, a non-profit organisation that makes clean water more accessible to vulnerable women and children from impoverished backgrounds.

What is the need for Wells on Wheels?

Women and children are responsible for water collection in 80% of homes without access to clean water on-premises, while 1 in 3 people lack access to safe drinking water globally. This is amplified in places like rural India, where women and children are forced to walk as many as two miles each day in blistering heat to access clean water from wells. These women and children carry water on their heads in pails that weigh almost the same as a standard airline checked bag. This increases their chances of chronic neck and back conditions and risks musculoskeletal disorders and disability.

In terms of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 6, access to clean water is a fundamental and unassailable human right that must be made available to all. With women and children shouldering this time-consuming responsibility of water collection in these rural communities, they don’t have the opportunity to work or attend school. Our partnership with Wells on Wheels positively impacts these rural communities through an innovative water wheel that eases the burden of water collection in rural India.

How does Wells on Wheels work?

The water wheel is a large round water drum with handles, and is capable of transporting five times as much water as the ordinary pails used by rural villagers in India. It is designed to be rolled on the ground instead of being carried and allows for easy pouring and cleaning. This effective water collection method frees up valuable time for rural villagers as fewer trips are required to water wells. Moreover, this eases the societal and physical burden placed upon these women and children for necessary water collection.

What is the impact of Wells on Wheels?

By using Wells on Wheels’ innovative water carrier, women can easily collect water and still go to work while children now have the time to attend school, breaking the vicious cycle of poverty that trap families in these rural communities. With COVID currently running rampant in India, the need for clean water becomes more critical in preventing and containing the coronavirus. This is done through recommended hygiene and sanitation practices, like regular handwashing and cleaning. Together with our contribution, Wells on Wheels has been able to step up its response to the pandemic with sizeable donations of masks and water wheels to many rural villages, in an effort to curb the spread of this deadly virus.

Our Contribution

Quality Dental Group is deeply committed to lifting the burden facing women and children in rural India. Through our partnership with Wells on Wheels, we aim to create an environment of opportunity where children can attend school and women can find work. We do this to help break the cycle of generational poverty that they experience.

Our concern with such critical issues motivates us to make more meaningful contributions to help improve rural communities, uplift women and children, and make all of them feel good through innovation!

With every Invisalign treatment programme that our patients undergo, Quality Dental Group commits to donating 1 water wheel to a vulnerable family of 5 in rural India. Our impact between February and March 2021 has enabled 135 women and children to access clean water through our generous contribution of 27 water wheels.

By choosing Quality Dental Group for your Invisalign treatment, you can play your part in uplifting impoverished families in rural communities by showering them with a gift of love!
